Noooo idea if that's on point or not, just my (hopeful) interpretation. I'm hoping that this is what's going through Phoenix Jones' head - that he needs to abandon things in his life and make great sacrifices in to be that great warrior that will actually give him success. This is all done in the pursuit of defeating the one person, seemingly a friend at this point in the series, who has always been stronger than Vegeta. However, in that scene, he voluntarily accepts powers from an evil wizard that make him much stronger but also corrupt him. One possible interpretation of his message is that he is turning from his life as Phoenix Jones, the hero, and instead focusing more on his MMA career and being the baddest person in the cage that he can be.įor those who don't know, the character in the linked video/picture is Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, who used to be someone who delighted in destroying entire planets for a career, but then eventually embraced Earth and the group of heroes that defends it. I am really hoping he is not going crazy.
